Arp is a curated mini-museum of design. A blend of furniture and objects made by Oz designers alongside products that take Arp's fancy from Switzerland, Scandinavia, Italy, the US, Japan, Tasmania and actually, anywhere that something beautiful, unique and with a bit of design cred can be found.

History of Arp
Arp opened in a tiny corridor city retail space in Hobart, Tasmania, October 2006. The idea had been to find a workshop space for blakebrough + king; designers Sarah King and Ben Blakebrough's studio. It was much too small for that, but it did become an outlet for b+k's work, and also collected together design from around the globe. It became a bit of a micro centre for designers to meet and (literally) knock into each other. Out of these accidental meetings the Hobart Design Index was created. The best compliment Arp recieved in all it's time in Macquarie St Hobart, was when two ladies looking through the window were overheard describing the shop as "the local Design Musem". Ben + Sarah returned from Hobart to NSW in 2009. Arp reopened as part of the Pop Up Co Op in Bowral between October & December 09. Stay tuned for what will happen to Arp next.

Pop Up Co Op is the short sharp collaborative shop of three design enterprises: Arp, Bespoke Workshop and Public Office.

SOHI MAGAZINE
Sarah K pioneered SOHI magazine when she moved to the Southern Highlands. SOHI magazine is a departure from the traditional local fare and a voice to all the other things that are happening in the district. It's local, sustainable and inclusive - championing the idea that life away from city centres can be a rewarding experience; that a rural life and Style don't need to be mutually exclusive.
The print version of SOHI is a seasonal, limited edition, hand numbered publication available at depots around the Highlands, Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne. It has been immaculately and cleverly designed by Maud and is printed on 100% recycled paper by Immij.
After editing the first 2 beautiful issues of SOHI, Sarah has left the magazine in very capable hands to concentrate on her other design projects.
Australian Design Museum Project
The Australian Design Museum Project draws Australian Design together across disciplines, levels of production and generations of Designers through exhibitions in various locations.
